The Legendary Eartha Kitt has died of colon cancer, she was 81. Singer, actress, Broadway performer and activist, her career spanned six decades. I always thought that she was an ageless bundle of fierce energy, and I always looked up to her and how she refused to let the struggles of racism and sexism keep her from succeeding and becoming an American icon. Google her when you have a chance today, and read about her life. There aren't too many performers nowadays who can dominate both stage and screen, Eartha did so with a flirtatious spunk and a warm elegance that always left a smile on your face whenever you saw her.
